Subhas Chandra Pattanayak
Bhagabati Panigrahi was one of the three founders of Communist Party of India in Orissa. He had contributed immensely to the literature that had created a new era of revolution. His story Shikar had the hero in Ghinua to whom an exploiter deserved to be killed like a tiger that endangered human life. The administration had hanged him to death. And his death has made him immortal. Similarly, Paul Robson’s Joe Hill refuses to die despite death.
I pay my homage to Bhagabati by translating Robson’s poem to club the same with Ghinua.
