A man called Markandey Katju, who, once upon a time, had headed the Press Council of India, has attracted acrimonious attention of Orissa by spreading wrong information on Kalinga War, through the social media FaceBook. Failure of history to record what exactly had happened in Kalinga War has given birth to a bit confusion in certain circles in Orissa too. Even some learned Oriyas doubt if Ashok was a reality and a war like Kalinga war was really fought.
